The Refuge Canada Tent exhibit has been created by the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. It is designed to resemble (in size and design) a typical shelter/tent used in refugee camps today and is aimed at raising awareness of the complex issues surrounding the history of refugees in Canada. JIAS is working with Ontario Jewish Archives to curate specific JIAS/Jewish community content relating to the Jewish refugee experience as well as the Canadian Jewish community’s role in supporting diverse refugees. Stay tuned for specifics around date and location!
