We support diverse newcomers from all over the world
All Newcomers Need Support
All immigrants experience a period of temporary vulnerability, regardless of their level of education, professional experience, English language fluency, or economic circumstances. We offer services and support that are tailored to your needs including workshops about the education system in Ontario, Canadian culture, and preparing for citizenship.
You do not need to be Jewish to become a JIAS client. We support newcomers from around the world regardless of faith or country of origin. We are inclusive, 2SLGBTQ+ friendly, and serve all populations. We have a diverse staff and offer settlement services in a variety of languages.
Meet with a Settlement Worker
It is challenging to start over in a new country. Your JIAS settlement worker will provide customized support and help you navigate your new city, community, province, and country. This includes referrals to programs and services for all family members. Settlement workers are a destination for resources on immigration procedures, housing, health care, schooling, language training, community programs, and more.
Whether you are planning to immigrate or you are new to Canada, please call 416-630-6481 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
